GUELPH, ON – As noted here on CBN yesterday, Wellington Brewery is planning to issue 4 installments in its Welly One-Off Series in the weeks leading up to Christmas, starting with this weekend’s release of Yuletide Barley Wine. Now, details of the full “DecemBeer Series” have been revealed.
Yuletide Barley Wine (9.8% abv) is a “dark ale (with) rich, full bodied malt with notes of chocolate, toffee and raisins.” It will be on sale tomorrow (November 30th) in a limited run of 750 ml swing-top bottles available exclusively at the Wellington retail store in Guelph.
Chocolate Milk Stout (7.2% abv) is “a robust and decadent chocolate stout brewed with fair trade Peruvian cocoa powder, lactose (milk sugar) and a touch of flaked oats.” It will be released on Saturday December 7th in 473 ml cans at the brewery, and on tap at select bars and pubs.
Cedar Rye-PA (6% abv) is “an aromatic American style IPA with a twist. This flavourful IPA balanced the dry spicy notes of rye malts with cedar chips and Centennial hops for an otherworldly aroma of cedar and tropical fruit.” It will be out on Saturday December 14th exclusively in 473 ml cans at the brewery.
Ginger Beer’d (5% abv) – a collaboration with Block Three Brewing – is “a sweet gingerbread ale brewed with ginger, lactose, roasted barley, Munich malt and oats.” It will be unveiled on Saturday December 21st in 500 ml bottles at the brewery, and on tap at select locations.
