CALGARY, ABVillage Brewery has announced the release of Village Troubadour Mild Brown Ale, a session-friendly 4.2% abv beer that they’ve chosen to describe with an anapestic tetrameter rather than traditional tasting notes:

The Troubadour hails from the North, so they say.
‘Tis the sweet note of caramel gives it away,
And the lyrical lilt of the hops when they play,
As the Troubadour sings of that glorious day
When good barley and yeast had a roll in the hay
And the magic was born in the North.
So they say.

Village Troubadour will be debuted today (February 5th) with a tasting session at Village Brewery from 2:00 to 4:00 PM. It will subsequently be available in 1.89 litre growlers at the Village retail store and liquor stores in Calgary, and on tap at select bars and restaurants in the city, while supplies last.
