ST. JOHN’S, NL – The Newfoundland and Labrador Association of Public and Private Employees (NAPE) has announced that 45 unionized workers who have been on strike from jobs at the St. John’s Labatt Breweries plant for 11 months have ratified a new collective agreement with the company.

According to a press release from NAPE, the latest round of bargaining took two months, and resulted in a collective agreement that will be in effect until March 2020.

Workers are expected to return to work as soon as tomorrow (Tuesday February 11th), taking positions back from replacement workers that have been keeping the plant in operation during the strike.
