HALIFAX, NS – In a post on Facebook earlier this morning, it was announced that the Hart & Thistle Gastropub & Brewery has been closed down effective immediately.
According to the note from owner Bruce Keith, there were a number of factors that led to the closure, including the “bulk of business occurring inside the short summer season,” and the “large growth of independent restaurants” in the Halifax area cutting into the establishment’s bottom line.
Fans of Hart & Thistle head brewer Greg Nash will still be able to enjoy his creations at the Rockbottom Brewpub, where he will continue to brew.
