CALGARY, AB – At a ceremony held yesterday at the Toronto Board of Trade, Calgary’s Village Brewery was named as one of the winners at the first annual Small Business Achievement Awards presented by Air Miles for Business.
This inaugural event featured winners in five categories – Small Business of the Year, Start-up of the Year, Innovation of the Year, Social Impact and Youth Entrepreneur of the Year – with Village Brewery taking the Start-up of the Year honour.
As one of the winners, the brewery will receive 10,000 Air Miles reward miles and will be profiled in the April issue of Canadian Business magazine. In addition, each winner will receive mentorship from a top Canadian business leader, with Village being offered the opportunity to work with Steve Matyas, President of Staples Canada.
