VANKLEEK HILL, ON – Beau’s All Natural Brewing is wrapping this year’s edition of FeBREWary – a month of beer launches and events from the brewery – with the release today (February 27th) of a returning installment in the brewery’s Wild Oats series of experimental and one-off beers.
Wag The Wolf Hopfenweisse was originally released last March, and is described as follows:
Wag the Wolf is a weissbeer (wheat beer) that has been generously late-addition-hopped with organic New Zealand varieties. The traditional fruity, spicy and refreshing weissbier is matched with big hop aromas in this unique creation. Made with 65% wheat, and fermented with a traditional hefeweizen yeast, the beer is pale gold in colour and hazy. There are notes of banana, clove, papaya, mango and citrus on the nose. The carbonation is lively and the beer is spicy and fruity, with restrained bitterness and a slightly dry finish.
Wag The Wolf is available starting today in the Beau’s brewery retail store and BYBO delivery service, and on tap at more than 100 participating bars and pubs across Ontario. It will also be available at select LCBO locations starting in early March.
A cask-conditioned version of Wag The Wolf will be tapped at Beau’s tomorrow (Friday February 28th) at 2:00 PM, and a full-scale tropical themed launch event for the beer featuring giveaways, samples, and food from Ottawa’s TacoLot will be happening at the brewery on Saturday March 1st.
