OTTAWA, ON – The Ottawa location of Mill Street Brew Pub will once again be getting an (almost) exclusive new beer with today’s launch of Grapefruit League Imperial Pale Ale.

Described by Mill Street Brewmaster Joel Manning as a “lovely rich blond beer with a beautiful white head and long lingering hop finish,” Grapefruit League is a 7% abv ale brewed using Cascade hops that impart a strong grapefruit-like aroma and flavour. And as Manning notes, “bringing the beer out in the last week of February when Grapefruit League Major League Baseball is starting meant that the name was almost predetermined!”

Grapefruit League Imperial Pale Ale will be going on tap today (Thursday February 27th) at Mill Street Brew Pub Ottawa, and will be available there while supplies last.

In addition, a small amount will be sent to Mill Street Brew Pub Toronto where it will be a feature beer at the next Mill Street Brew Master’s Dinner on Friday March 14th. In addition to Grapefruit League, the St. Patrick’s themed dinner will also feature Cobblestone Stout, 100th Meridian Organic Amber Lager, Palomar and Valley Irish Red as beer pairings.
