CARNARVON, ON – The small village of Carnarvon will soon be home to the first craft brewery in Ontario’s Haliburton County with the upcoming launch of Boshkung Brewing.

Named after nearby Boshkung Lake, the brewery is being founded by veteran homebrewer Blake Paton, and will be located in the lower level of Rhubarb, a restaurant owned by Paton’s friends and business partners Terri Mathews and Christoph Carl.

Boshkung’s four flagship brands – King ‘Kung Imperial Stout, ‘Kungaroo IPA, Scotch Ale and Rye Beer – will be available to sample in the brewery taproom in 5 oz and 10 oz glasses, and in growlers to go. The beers will also be served in Rhubarb and several other local pubs and restaurants.

Boshkung Brewing is aiming to be open by the end of March, pending license approvals. For more details, visit the Boshkung Facebook page.
