Townsite Charleston Returning as Annual Seasonal

POWELL RIVER, BCTownsite Brewing has announced that a beer first released in 2012 to kick off a series inspired by a unique local landmark will be returning on its own as an annual seasonal brand.

Townsite Charleston is a 9% abv Belgian Tripel named after one of The Hulks, a group of decommissioned ships that form a floating breakwater in the Powell River near the brewery.

Now featuring a redesigned label that illustrates the more common usage of the name – the dance that was popular in the 1920s – Charleston is described as having “a soft & creamy mouth feel, complemented by a nice hop bitterness”.

Townsite Charleston will be available later this month in a limited run of 650 ml bottles.

The Hulks Series is also set to continue soon, with 2012’s Charleston and 2013’s YOGN 82 to be followed by Cardena, a Belgian Quad set to be released in late March or early April.
