TORONTO, ONMill Street Brewery has announced the release of a new beer that brings together a pair of classic brewing traditions to create a unique and distinctive hybrid ale.

Mill Street Belgian Cherry IPA is a 7% abv beer that Brewmaster Joel Manning describes as follows:

Our Belgian-style Cherry IPA is a unique hybrid in that it is a British-style IPA brewed with a Belgian perspective, and then refermented with a huge quantity of Ontario sour cherry juice to give it a red tone and a very distinct cherry aroma and palate similar to Belgian Kriek beers. The English Fuggles hops used in this beer are both traditional English IPA hops as well as having a flavour that melds very well with the sour cherry acidity.

Belgian Cherry IPA is currently available exclusively at the Toronto location of the Mill Street Brewpub, and is rumoured to be one of the beers that will be featured in this year’s edition of Mill Street Summer Mix sampler pack which will be released in late spring.
