VANCOUVER, BCGranville Island Brewing has announced details of the latest installment in its Black Note Book Series of limited edition small batch beers.

Shamrocker Potato Stout is inspired by St. Patrick’s Day as well as brewmaster Vern Lambourne’s favourite Irish band, Thin Lizzy.

It’s further described as follows:

Amped up with tones of coffee, malts, barley and a hint of caramel, Shamrocker is a dry Irish-style stout brewed with delta hops and crystal malts – with potatoes added to the mash as a special nod to the Emerald Isle. Chiming in with a 4.8% abv and 35 BU, Shamrocker is a black but not heavy medley of Celtic proportions, with a dry finish that will leave you begging for an encore.

Shamrocker is available now in a limited run of 650 ml bottles at the GIB Taproom and select liquor stores in British Columbia.
