SOUTH RIVER, ONHighlander Brew Co. has unveiled a new look for all of its brands, and has also brought back a beer originally brewed as a one-off last summer as a new year-round product.

Highlander Lion Grass – a 5.4% abv golden ale brewed with organic lemongrass, dandelion leaves, and Cascade hops – joins Scottish Ale, Twisted Spruce and Blacksmith Smoked Porter in the core line-up from the brewery, and all feature new labels with a consistent design across all four brands.

Bottle sales of Lion Grass are currently limited to the brewery store, but the other three brands are available at select LCBO outlets in 650 ml bottles, and all four can be found on tap at pubs and bars in Ontario.

        1. Hmmm. There’s some similarity, yeah, but “identical” is a bit of a stretch.

I doubt there will be any legal issues, especially since aside from a brief appearance by Black Butte Porter a few months ago, Deschutes beers aren’t available in Ontario.
