CALGARY, ABBig Rock Brewery has announced details of two new beers that are set to be released this month, along with new packaging plans for a trio of older brands.

Coming this Friday April 11th will be Freyja’s Field, the latest in Big Rock’s Alchemist Edition series of one-off experimental beers. A braggot – blend of beer and mead – that is described as having “flavours of sweet clover honey and light malt,” Freyja’s Field will be a limited release 2,650 bottles available exclusively in Alberta.

Towards the end of the month – Friday April 25th to be exact – the brewery will kick off a new Bomber Series with Dead Reckoning Royal IPA, a 7.5% abv and 73 IBU ale brewed with East Kent Golding, Challenger and Progress hops that will be available in 650 ml bomber bottles for a limited time.

Falling between these two releases on Monday April 14th is the launch of Grasshopper Wheat Ale, Traditional Ale and Warthog Mild Ale in 473 ml single cans, an increasingly popular format for brewers large and small. All three beers will also remain available in bottle six-packs.
