TORONTO, ONSpearhead Brewing and the multiple Juno Award winning Sam Roberts Band have announced details of a collaborative beer that will be released this summer.

Described by Roberts as “combining Spearhead’s mastery of the brewing process with our own profound experience in the field of beer drinking,” Sam Roberts Band Session Ale has the following tasting notes:

A unique blend of English and American ale characteristics, featuring distinct notes of caramel, subtle undertones of biscuit, and a dry, zesty finish that is deliciously refreshing. Brewed with four types of malt and three types of hops, Session Ale is unfiltered and naturally carbonated to provide a delicate carbonation and complex flavour and aroma.

The first batch of SRB Session Ale will be brewed in early May, with Roberts taking an active role in the brewing, and the beer will make its public debut on June 13th and 14th at the Session Craft Beer Festival in Toronto as part of the Collaboration Nation section of the event.

Following its unveiling at the Festival, SRB Session Ale will be available on tap at select bars and pubs throughout Ontario.
