Double Trouble Brewing and Fairmont Royal York Hotel Partner on 1929 Cream Ale

TORONTO, ONDouble Trouble Brewing and the Fairmont Royal York Hotel have announced the launch of a new beer created to mark the iconic hotel’s 85th anniversary.

The simply named 1929 – named after the year that the hotel first opened its doors – is a 5% abv cream ale that has been “crafted with ingredients and methods which hold true to the 20’s time period.”

1929 is available exclusively at the Royal York, where it is being served in the hotel’s licensed establishments and in-room minibars, as well as at catered events.

  1. It’s also $8.50 a bottle. I’m not sure who they think they’re fooling at that price. Probably (definitely) more in the mini-bars!
