VANKLEEK HILL, ONBeau’s All Natural Brewing has announced that it will be collaborating with renowned Canadian authors and environmentalists Margaret Atwood and Graeme Gibson on a limited edition beer to raise funds for the Pelee Island Bird Observatory (PIBO), a nonprofit environmental organization where Gibson sits as the Board of Directors chair, and Atwood is an Advisor to the Board.

Inspired by scenes in Atwood’s latest novel MaddAddam involving the harvesting of various plants and botanicals, the collaborative beer will be a Gruit, the ancient herb beer style that Beau’s has been a champion of for the past several years.

The yet-to-be-named beer will make its public debut on June 13th and 14th at the Session Craft Beer Festival in Toronto as part of the Collaboration Nation section of the event. It will subsequently be available in a limited run of 600 ml bottles at the Beau’s retail store, and on tap at select bars and restaurants across Ontario while supplies last.

For more details, see the full press release on the Beau’s website.
