SARNIA, ON – In a rare example of a new brewery opening on schedule, Sarnia’s Refined Fool Brewing will be opening today, meeting the target originally announced a couple of months ago.

Founded by “a group of teachers, creatives, blue collars, entrepreneurs, musicians and pastors,” Refined Fool will be opening its facility at 137 Davis St. to the public from 4:00 to 10:00 PM today, offering six beers – The Brouhaha Nut Brown, Joe Sent Me Milk Stout, Noble Oaf Rye Saison, Ripsnorter Vanilla Porter, Antique Peepshow IPA and Short Pier, Long Walk Double IPA – on tap for on-site sampling, and in growlers and 750 ml bottles to take home.

The brewery’s regular retail hours as well as details of a Growler Club and future brands will be announced in coming days and weeks following tonight’s grand opening.

  1. These amazing beers will make The Refined Fool (and Sarnia) a BEER destination. I tasted 6 winners May 1. My first fear is not being at the back of the line.

  2. I didn’t have many reservations going in to try some of these amazing beers on their first night as I know one of the founders and know of his love and passion for finely honed, delicious home brews. What I didn’t expect was the unbridled excitement from a local community starved for quality! A packed house with some VERY enthusiastic folks genuinely thrilled that we can step beyond the confines of what our ‘Beer’ store has to offer. If these guys can maintain the quality and demand I think that we’re looking at some products that could find themselves at the forefront of a blossoming market. Well played, gentlemen. Fools, you are not.
