TORONTO, ON – Kensington Brewing has announced that a popular summer seasonal brand previously available exclusively on draught will be making the move to full retail distribution this year – although it won’t be in the store where shoppers might expect to find it based on past Kensington releases.
Fruit Stand Watermelon Wheat was not given a listing at the LCBO where Kensington’s two year-round brands are available, so the brewery has turned to the only other option for retail beer sales in Ontario, and will be selling it at select Beer Store locations.
The 4.5% abv summer refresher that is described as follows:
Watermelon Wheat is an unfiltered wheat ale fermented with fresh watermelon juice. The beer features subtle notes of flaked wheat and, of course, a delicate watermelon aroma, making this a perfect patio beer.
Kensington Fruit Stand Watermelon Wheat will be available at self-serve Beer Store locations starting in June, retailing for $2.95 per 473 ml single can. A series of watermelon-themed events will take place in Toronto throughout June to mark the launch, with details to be announced soon via the Kensington Brewing website.
