HALIFAX, NS – The Ladies Beer League (LBL) – a Halifax-based “social club, targeting, but not exclusive to, women, dedicated to the promotion and responsible consumption of local craft beer” – has announced details of its 1st anniversary event taking place next month.

Founded in June 2013 by several female employees of Garrison Brewing, including Kellye Robertson and Tracy Phillippi, and now organized by a team of five female board members, the LBL has hosted numerous beer tastings and events in its first year of existence – including the region’s first ever cask ale festival – and has inspired similar groups to form elsewhere in Canada.

Scheduled for Friday June 20th at The Wooden Monkey (40 Alderney Dr., Dartmouth), the free admission, pay-as-you-go anniversary event will feature one-off cask beers from local breweries North, Big Spruce and Garrison.

For more details see the event listing on the LBL website.
