EDMONTON, AB – As the cooler weather of fall approaches, so to does the flood of pumpkin beers from craft breweries across the land, and Alley Kat Brewing is one of the first out of the gate this year with their ever-popular version of the style.
The release of Pumpkin Pie Spiced Ale is an annual tradition for the brewery that started in 2007 when it was available exclusively at Sherbrooke Liquor under the name Pumpkin Pi. Now in general release under a slightly different monicker, the autumn ale is described as follows:
This delicious full-bodied beer is infused with pumpkin, ginger, and cinnamon. “Pumpkin Pie Spiced Ale is like the Fall season personified – an amber rich beer infused with spices and pumpkin from beginning to end. It’s all the things you love about Fall in a beer!” says Alley Kat’s owner Neil Herbst.
This year’s batch of Pumpkin Pie Spiced Ale will be released on August 28th in a limited run of 650 ml bottles available at the Alley Kat retail shop and liquor stores throughout Alberta.
