WINNIPEG, MB – Half Pints Brewing has announced that a commercial batch of the winning beer from the 1st annual Half Pints Pro/Am Brew Challenge will be released later this week.
Held in late 2013 in conjunction with the Winnipeg Brew Bombers homebrewing club, the 1st annual competition received more than 400 entries, with the winner being Dean Kelly with his Simcoe Spruce, a 5% abv and 35 IBU pale ale infused with spruce tips.
Simcoe Spruce will be available at the Half Pints retail store on Thursday September 25th in a limited run of 650 ml bottles.
In addition, entries are now being accepted for the 2nd annual Half Pints Pro/Am Brew Challenge, and judging will be taking place on October 1st to 4th. For more details see the Winnipeg Brew Bombers website.
