FREDERICTON, NBPicaroons Traditional Ales has announced the release this week of a limited edition beer brewed especially to mark the 60th anniversary of Canada’s oldest independent publishing company.

Founded in 1954 and based in Fredericton, Goose Lane Editions publishes of books from predominantly Canadian authors, including novels, poetry, short stories, and a variety of non-fiction topics.

To help celebrate its 60 year milestone, Picaroons has created Page Turner, an amber ale that was fittingly brewed with gooseberries.

Page Turner will be served at the Goose Lane anniversary parties in Toronto (September 30th) and Fredericton (October 3rd), and it will go on tap at the Picaroons Brewtique on October 3rd for sampling and growler sales. Proceeds from the beer will be donated to Laubach Literacy New Brunswick.
