TORONTO, ONLouis Cifer Brew Works, a large brewpub in Toronto’s east side Danforth neighbourhood, has announced via its Facebook page that it is now open.

Launched by co-owners Erin Gamelin and Craig Abbott – also owners of Stout Irish Pub – and head brewer Christine Nagy, plans for the 4,500-square-foot and 200+ capacity restaurant and brewery were first revealed back in August.

Currently in soft opening mode, Louis Cifer offers a food menu focussed on refined versions of pub and bistro favourites, and a drinks list that features several house beers – Lager, IPA, Dirty Blonde, Brown Ale and a lager-saison hybrid called Liaison – that are currently being brewed elsewhere under contract until construction of the on-site brewhouse is complete. The bar also serves a good selection of brands from other local craft breweries, a range of wine and spirits, and several non-alcoholic beverages including a house root beer.

Louis Cifer Brew Works will be open from 4:00 PM to 2:00 AM daily until Thursday October 16th, with regular hours – 11:30 AM to 2:00 AM – kicking in on Friday October 17th.
