CALGARY, AB – Village Brewery has announced details of its newest seasonal brand, which is debuting today along with a new edition of the Village Square variety pack.
Village Brünette is a 5.5% abv German-style Dünkelweizen that is described as follows:
Village Brünette is a Bavarian Dark Wheat beer fermented with a special German yeast strain. The combination of light and dark wheat, Munich, Vienna and chocolate malts produce a rich dark brown earthy colour with toffee and chocolate flavour. The yeast provides clove and banana like esters, which are finely balanced with the European malts.
Village Brünette will be available in growlers and six-packs, the latter format replacing the four-packs that Village had previously been using for its core and seasonal brands.
It will also be featured alongside three other Village brands – Blonde Natural Golden Ale, Blacksmith India Black Ale and Maiden India Session Ale – in the Village Square Winter Variety Pack, a mixed 12 pack featuring artwork by local artist David Brunning aka TheKidBelo.
