BURLINGTON, ON & GRAVENHURST, ON – Nickel Brook Brewing and Sawdust City Brewing have announced the release of a second annual collaborative beer commemorating the fact that November 5th is the shared birthday of their respective head brewers.
Developed and brewed earlier this month by Ryan Morrow (Nickel Brook) and Sam Corbeil (Sawdust City), this year’s edition of 11.05 is an 11.05% abv triple IPA that Corbeil describes as “ridiculous & excessive,” adding that it’s “loaded with way too much hops and balanced with almost no malt,” making it suitable “for the hop heads only.”
A launch event for this year’s 11.05 and birthday party for Morrow and Corbeil will take place next Wednesday November 5th at Bar Hop (391 King St. W., Toronto). In addition to the debut keg of 11.05, the evening will feature five additional beers each from Nickel Brook and Sawdust City.
11.05 will also be available on draught at other select bars and pubs throughout Ontario, and a limited run of 473 ml cans will be released at the Sawdust City retail store in Gravenhurst.
