CALGARY, AB – Village Brewery has announced details of this year’s edition of a unique beer that takes the concept of “community involvement” to a whole new level.
Village Gardener Community Involved Ale was brewed using ingredients including hops, honey and lavender that were sourced with the assistance and support of several local community associations, as well as organizations including Apiaries and Bees for Communities and ATB Financial. The groups that provided ingredients will be receiving kegs of the beer in return to be used for fundraisers and other community events.
The 2014 edition of the Village Gardener will be launched today (November 5th) during the “twice-monthly collision of community champions” gathering taking place at the brewery from 2:00 to 4:00 PM. It will be available in a limited run of 1 litre mini-growlers to be sold at the brewery and select liquor stores in Calgary while supplies last.
