TORONTO, ONPremier Brands Ltd., the import agency that represents Fuller’s Brewery in Canada, has announced that one of the brewery’s latest limited edition releases will be available in Ontario later this month.

Fuller’s Imperial Stout is a winter seasonal ale developed in conjunction with beer writer Melissa Cole that debuted in the UK last year, and is now coming to Ontario for the first time. Brewed to a potent 10.7% abv and infused with dried rose buds, it’s described as follows:

Rich, dark and special, Imperial Stout delivers roasted dark chocolate notes against a slightly fruity acidity. Sovereign and Centennial hops, meanwhile, bring floral flavour, enhanced by dried rose buds that hint at Turkish delight. There’s a taste of liquorice there too, ahead of a lasting finish with fairly high bitterness.

Fuller’s Imperial Stout will be released soon at select LCBO locations in Ontario, retailing for $7.90 per 500 ml bottle. No other provinces will receive this year’s version, but distribution into Alberta and British Columbia is planned for the 2015 edition.
