CHARLOTTETOWN, PE – Following quickly on the late October announcement that the 6.5% abv limit on beers brewed in Prince Edward Island was being lifted, PEI Brewing has announced the upcoming release of its first higher alcohol offering.
8 Cord Double IPA is an 8.5% abv strong ale that is described as follows:
We pushed the malt aside to let the hops shine through on this big, dry and tropical brew. Except citrus, pain and floral aromas are just enough ready malt flavour to carry the strong, smooth bitterness. We think this Double IPA is the perfect read for someone who’s been out in the fall air, blocking and splitting. Wedge your axe in the splitting block and settle in with this aromatic fall brew.
8 Cord Double IPA is planned to be released in early December, and will be available at the PEI Brewing retail store while supplies last.
