TORONTO, ON – The flagship Summerhill location (10 Scrivener Square, Toronto) of Ontario’s LCBO chain will be holding release events this week for two new arrivals on its shelves.
On Wednesday November 26th from 4:00 to 6:00 PM, the Sam Roberts Band will be on hand to pour samples and sign bottles of Sam Roberts Band Session Ale, a recent release from Spearhead Brewing.
Described as “a medium amber beer” with notes of “caramel, biscuit, citrus zest, spice and herbal hops,” SRB Session Ale is available at LCBO locations throughout the province, priced at $13.95 per six-pack of 355 ml bottles.
The following day – Thursday November 27th – the store will host a release event for Unibroue‘s limited edition 6 litre bottle of La Fin Du Monde. Taking place from 1:30 to 3:00 PM, the event will feature a guided tasting of several Unibroue beers lead by Sylvain Bouchard and Jerry Vietz from the brewery, along with food pairings by Chef Michelle Usprech of beerbistro.
Tickets for the Unibroue tasting are $35 and can be purchased by calling the LCBO at 1-800-668-5226 or 416-365-5900. Attendees will be given the first opportunity to purchase one of the 6 litre bottles for $149. Only 243 of the bottles have been produced this year, with 50 allocated to Ontario where they will be available exclusively at LCBO Summerhill while supplies last.
