HALIFAX, NSGarrison Brewing has announced that its popular holiday seasonal Spruce Beer will be making its annual appearance this week, and as always, it features a several ingredients that pay tribute to Canada’s brewing history:

Described by some as “Christmas tree in a glass”, this seasonal specialty is brewed with local spruce and fir tips from Meander River Farms and blackstrap molasses from Crosby’s in Saint John. Complex and full-bodied, this 7.5% ABV beer balances bold Spruce notes with the sweetness of molasses and bittersweet chocolate.

This year’s vintage of Spruce Beer will go on sale at the Garrison retail store on Friday December 5th at 9:00 AM, with a line-up of fans expected to show up bright and early to make a purchase.

It will also be available at liquor stores in Nova Scotia, New Brunswick and Prince Edward Island, and for the first time in Manitoba and Alberta, while supplies last.
