GUELPH, ON – Wellington Brewery has announced details of the second in the Welly One Off: DecemBEER series of limited edition beers that are being released each Friday in December leading up to Christmas.
Sleet Wheat Wine is a barrel-aged strong wheat ale that is described as follows:
Similar to a barley wine, this rare style of beer has a high alcohol content but features a milder wheat body that is pale gold in colour. Aged in cabernet franc wine barrels, this beer takes on fruity grape aromas and slightly tannic flavours which blend perfectly with the aromatic and moderately bitter hop presence. This effervescent and unique ale is full of fruity grape character with a gentle alcohol finish.
Sleet Wheat Wine will be released today (December 12th) at the Wellington retail store in a limited run of 750 ml bottles, selling for $10.95 each while supplies last.
