Four Ontario Breweries Receive Government Funding for Expansions & Improvements

TORONTO, ON – As part of a spate of funding announcements in support of a variety of businesses and industries across the province, the Government of Ontario has announced that four Ontario breweries have been given grants to assist them with expansion and improvement projects.
In Eastern Ontario, the Local Food Fund has awarded $354,500 to Beau’s All Natural Brewing for capital upgrades to improve its production system, and $27,510 to Cassel Brewery for facility improvements to increase productivity.
In Western Ontario, Brick Brewing has been provided with $357,959 from the Southwestern Ontario Development Fund to assist with the expansion of its Kitchener facility needed due to the recent sale of its original brewhouse and property in Waterloo, and Grand River Brewing has received $87,040 from the Local Food Fund for capital and site modifications.
