TORONTO, ON – Junction Craft Brewing has dropped a hint that it may be planning for a move and substantial expansion in the near future.
In a video posted to YouTube this past weekend, Junction partners Tom Paterson and Doug Pengelly are shown touring the Symes Road Incinerator – a historic building owned by the City of Toronto that has been abandoned for a number of years – with the caption “Future home of Junction Brewery? Stay tuned…”.
Located at 150 Symes Road, the Incinerator building is approximately a mile from the current Junction brewery and a great deal larger, so a move there would undoubtedly allow for much more brewing capacity. It’s also just steps from 100 Symes Road, an industrial building that will be home to the soon-to-open Rainhard Brewing.
