VICTORIA, BC – Swans Hotel & Brewery has announced release details for the newest vintage of a beer that honours the memory of one of Victoria’s greatest philanthropists.
Legacy Ale Barley Wine pays tribute to Michael C. Williams, a successful businessman who spearheaded the revival of the area where Swans is located. Williams passed away in 2000, and various vintages of Legacy Ale have been released in his honour since then.
The latest edition checks in at 10.3% abv, and has been cellared for 8 months before release.
Legacy Ale will be launched today (January 15th) at the Swans pub, with free samples available from 5:30 to 6:30 PM. It will be available on tap at the brewpub and in 650 ml bottles at the on-site beer store while supplies last.
