VANCOUVER, BC – Just over a year after its location was announced, the first out-of-province off-shoot of Calgary’s Big Rock Brewery has opened its doors in Vancouver’s Mount Pleasant neighbourhood.

The Big Rock Urban Brewery is located at the corner of Alberta Street and 4th Avenue West, and features a brewhouse, tasting bar, retail store, and an adjacent Big Rock Urban Eatery restaurant & lounge.

All public areas of the facility are currently in soft opening mode, with an official grand opening planned for April 10th. The brewery will also soon be launching its first BC-exclusive brand, Hollow Tree Pacific Northwest Red Ale:

BC’s majestic red cedars are the inspiration for our Brewmaster in this Pacific Northwest style red ale. A refreshing session brew to enjoy after a day exploring our beautiful backyard. The Big Rock difference in this red ale comes from hop-backing whole Cascade leaf hops. Their citrus and flowery characters are complimented by the rich caramel and toffee flavours of Carastan and Munich malts.
