OAKVILLE, ON – A beer debuted last spring as a limited draught-only brand from Cameron’s Brewing has returned as the latest installment in the Brewmaster’s Series of seasonal offerings.

White Oat Savant is a 4.8% abv ale brewed using a combination of three different malts, including white oats, to create a beer that is described as follows:

Contrary to its name, Cameron’s White Oat Savant is brown in colour, utilizing unique white oat malt to produce a rich, creamy addition to a classic Brown Ale. At a moderate 4.8% alcohol by volume, this smooth ale’s mahogany-brown body precedes hints of light fruit and roasted malts. With the use of chocolate malts, crystal and white oat malt, Brewmaster Jason Britton says this creates a ballad of cherry, chocolate and caramel to please your taste-buds as the oat’s silken embrace covers your mouth with velvety affection.

White Oat Savant is available now on draught at select bars and pubs in Ontario, and in 650 ml bottles at LCBO outlets throughout the province.

  1. Sounds interesting and nice label artwork but it would also be nice if Cameron’s, like our beer laws, got a little more in touch with the modern world and packaged more of its products in CANS!
