OKOTOKS, AB – Prairie-based beer blog On Beer reports that a former brewer at Saskatoon’s Paddock Wood Brewing has struck out on his own with a new project based in the small town of Okotoks, Alberta.

Founded by Luke Wooldridge, Six Corners Brew Works has launched as a roving contract brewing operation, with Wooldridge planning to produce a series of one-off beers at various prairie breweries while he works toward opening his own facility.

The debut brand from Six Corners is Trailhead IPA, which was brewed at Original Joe’s in Saskatoon on a system that Wooldridge recently assisted in setting up. The 7.5% abv single-hop IPA was made using a hop variety that is so new it has no name, only a number – #07270 – to identify it.

Six Corners Trailhead IPA is available now at select liquor stores and bars in southern Alberta. For more details, see the Six Corners website and Twitter feed.
