BRACEBRIDGE, ON – Muskoka Brewery, one of Ontario’s oldest and most well-regarded craft breweries, has announced its entry into the British Columbia market with a pair of its flagship brands.
With industry veteran Helen Sheedy serving as territory manager, Muskoka has sent two of its more hop-heavy beers out west – the 6.4% abv and 64 IBU Mad Tom IPA, and the more laid back Detour Session IPA, which checks in at 4.3% abv and 30 IBU.
“The opportunity to take our beers out west and introduce them to a culture that loves craft beer, that loves what we brew is something I couldn’t pass up,” says Sheedy in a statement. “I’m excited to take our brand across the country so everyone can experience Muskoka in their own way.”
Muskoka Mad Tom IPA and Detour Session IPA are available now and select BC Liquor locations, retailing at $12.19 plus tax per six-pack of 341 ml bottles.
I’ve seen these two beers regularly, and occasionally the twice as mad, out here for easily the last couple of years in the BC Liquor stores – confused as to how this is a new thing for BC?
