People’s Pint Brewing Collective Presenting Homebrew Tasting Event & Planning Brewpub

TORONTO, ON – A new collective of homebrewers in Toronto and area have announced details of a homebrew tasting event later this month, as well as longer term plans to open a permanent “homebrew pub” in one of the city’s most iconic licensed establishments.

The People’s Pint Brewing Collective be presenting its first¬†public tasting event on Friday May 29th at the historic Gladstone Hotel (1214 Queen St. W., Toronto). As noted on the Facebook event listing, the $40 “membership fee” will allow attendees to sample at least 8 beers brewed especially for the event by local homebrewers, and the evening will also feature live music by Jazz Money and a snack menu.

People’s Pint founder Doug Appeldoorn tells Ontario Beer Network that if the event goes well, the Collective plans to launch a crowdfunding campaign to purchase a nanobrewing system that will be installed at the Gladstone, allowing a rotating roster of homebrewers to create one-off beers to be served at the venue.
