COBOURG, ON – William Street Beer Co. is celebrating its first anniversary this week, and has announced details of a party and new limited edition beer to mark the occasion.
The commemorative beer is Dutch Rudder, a 7.6% barrel-aged bock that is described as follows:
Our first attempt at a barrel aged beer had to be a Traditional Bock. Brewed in the depths of our very cold winter, this lager style beer has been resting comfortably in Jim Beam bourbon barrels waiting for spring. Storing beer in oak is an exciting adventure into the unknown and we are excited to welcome Spring in a way that honours such a wonderful brewing tradition.
A limited number of bottles of Dutch Rudder will be available alongside two returning brands – North Shore Blonde Ale and White Sail Wheat – during the anniversary party at William Street brewery this coming Saturday May 9th. Running from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM, the day will feature beer sampling, live entertainment, and BBQ food provided by 92 King.
