NORTH BAY, ON – A popular casual restaurant and bar in North Bay has announced plans to start offering house-brewed beers, possibly as soon as next month.

As recently reported by both Bay Today and the North Bay Nugget, Cecil’s Eatery & Beer Society is installing a small brewing system that will allow it to produce up to 1,250 litres of beer a week.

Owner John Lechlitner tells the publications that the equipment was engineered in Prince Edward Island, and the beer will be brewed using the SmartBrew process developed in New Zealand.

Beer from the newly dubbed Cecil’s Brewhouse & Kitchen will initially be available exclusively at the bar and catered events, although Lechlitner indicates that wider distribution may be considered for the future.
