Welcome to the CBN round-up of beer festivals and events for the coming week (Friday through Thursday), listed here with a bit more detail than what is featured on our popular Beer Festival Calendar page. Watch for a new installment every Thursday – assuming there are any events scheduled for the week ahead, of course.

VANCOUVER CRAFT BEER WEEK 2015
Vancouver, BC
Since launching in 2010 as Canada’s first city-wide beer week, VCBW has grown in size and scope year after year, and the 2015 edition promises to be the best yet. Starting with tomorrow’s Opening Night Gala at the Roundhouse Community Arts & Recreation Centre, the 10 days of festivities will include tastings, dinners, tap takeovers, a beer cocktail competition, and much more, culminating with a massive VCBW Festival at the PNE Centre Grounds on the closing weekend.
Fri, May 29, 2015 – Sun, May 31, 2015
FESTIBIÈRE DE GATINEAU
Jacques-Cartier Park – Gatineau, QC
One of the largest and most anticipated beer festivals in Quebec, Festibière de Gatineau will attract close to 40,000 people to the spacious Jacques-Cartier Park where they can choose from over 300 beer brands being poured by 35 breweries, most of them craft brewers from Quebec. Food vendors and live entertainment round out the family friendly event, with those under 18 admitted for free – but not allowed to drink, obviously.
Fri, May 29, 2015 – Sat, May 30, 2015
ATLANTIC BEER FESTIVAL
Moncton Coliseum – Moncton, NB
The 10th anniversary edition of this festival will offer a wide variety of beer from local and out-of-province craft breweries – including several from Quebec, Ontario and the northeastern U.S. – plus a good selection of imports, and a special Belgian beer pavilion presented by McClelland Imports & Horizon Beers. See the website for a full list of participants and brands.
Thu, June 04, 2015 – Fri, June 05, 2015
FLATLANDERS BEER FESTIVAL
MTS Centre – Winnipeg, MB
The 13th annual edition of the Flatlanders fest will feature more than 160 beers and ciders from Canada and around the world, with proceeds to support the Winnipeg Jets True North Foundation, an organization that “focuses its efforts on providing support to the children of the community so they may lead quality lives and develop into contributing members of society.”
