VANCOUVER, BC – The 2015 edition of Vancouver Craft Beer Week is currently underway, and as in past years, the festival has released an official collaborative beer that was created by a group of brewmasters from across the province.

Brewed at Red Truck Beer with recipe design by Main Street Brewing and Parallel 49 Brewing, this year’s official VCBW beer is Campfire Kölsch, which is described as follows:

In honour of this year’s lumberjack theme and official charity we’ve brewed a sessionable Kölsch style ale using an extremely subtle amount of cherry wood smoked malt and hops that give tropical fruit notes. In the end you can expect this beer to be reminiscent of a lightly BBQed pineapple.

VCBW Campfire Kölsch is available now in 650 ml bottles at select private liquor retailers in Vancouver and the Lower Mainland of BC, and it will be served on draught and cask at participating establishments during VCBW. Proceeds from the sales of this year’s beer will be donated to the Vancouver Firefighters’ Charitable Society.
