GUELPH, ON – Wellington Brewery has announced a flurry of new beer releases for Ontario Craft Beer Week, including three collaborative beers and a pair of unique IPAs.
Coming out tomorrow (June 13th) is Dandy Rye-PA, a collaboration with fellow Guelph breweries Royal City Brewing and StoneHammer Brewing that is described as follows:
This crisp summer ale uses locally harvested dandelions and roasted dandelion root alongside local Ontario hops and malts. This unique ale also uses yeast from each brewery giving it a truly collaborative local flavour profile. Get ready for a refreshing ale with a slight dandelion bitterness alongside notes of grapefruit and a subtle spiciness.
Dandy Rye-PA will be available at all three breweries in a limited run of 500 ml bottles.
Wellington also contributed to the official OCB Week 2015 Collaboration Beer, a 4% abv “Ontario table beer” that will be on tap at various OCB Week events. And draught is also the only format for a Golden Ale with Earl Grey Tea created together with Granite Brewery.
Finally, next Thursday June 18th will see the release of ee I ee I oh! Farmhouse IPA and Southern Twang Bourbon Barrel-Aged IPA. Both will be available exclusively at the Wellington retail store in 750 ml bottles while supplies last.
