PETERBOROUGH, ONPublican House Brewery has announced the launch of a new series of beers in support of a unique local attraction.

As reported by Kawartha Now, the Canadian Canoe Museum Beer Series will offer promotional and financial assistance to the namesake Canadian Canoe Museum, which is preparing for a move and expansion.

The first beer in the series is William English Ale, a 4.5% abv wheat beer that is named after the founder of the English Canoe Company, which was established in Peterborough in 1861 and remained in operation until the 1920s.

William English Ale was launched last weekend at the Kawartha Craft Beer Festival, and is available at the Publican House retail store in 750 ml bottles while supplies last. Additional beers in the series are expected to follow on a seasonal basis.
