Welcome to the CBN round-up of beer festivals and events for the coming week (Friday through Thursday), listed here with a bit more detail than what is featured on our popular Beer Festival Calendar page. Watch for a new installment every Thursday – assuming there are any events scheduled for the week ahead, of course.

LA CUVÉE D’ÉTÉ
Les Jardins Gamelin, Quartier des spectacles, 1500 rue Berri – Montréal, QC
Another new summer off-shoot of a successful winter event, La Cuvée d’été comes from the organizers of La Cuvée d’hiver, and will take place at Les Jardins Gamelin, an outdoor beer garden in Montreal’s Quartier des spectacles neighbourhood. Beer from Quebec breweries including Les Trois Mousquetaires, Broue Pub Brouhaha, Le Saint Bock and L’Espace Public will be available, along with other local food and drink options. Admission is free, but a $8 tasting glass needs to be purchased in order to take part in the tasting.

Friday, July 17, 2015 – Sunday, July 19, 2015
DOWNTOWN KITCHENER RIBFEST & CRAFT BEER SHOW
Victoria Park – Kitchener, ON
Now in its 12th year, this year’s edition of the family-friendly event will feature 20 breweries offering more than 60 brands of beer to sample, along with seven BBQ vendors and several other food and drink options. Admission is free, with sampling wristbands – good for the full weekend – available for $6, and sample tickets selling for $1 each.

Friday, July 17, 2015 – Sunday, July 19, 2015
BURLINGTON BEER FESTIVAL
Spencer Smith Park – Burlington, ON
Back again after a well-received inaugural event last year, this festival on Burlington’s waterfront will have booths for over 30 breweries, cideries and wineries, along with a wide selection of food and other vendors, and a line-up of live music on stage throughout the weekend.

Sunday, July 19, 2015
TRI-CITIES SUMMER CASK FESTIVAL 2015
RockyPoint Taphouse, 2524 St. Johns Street – Port Moody, BC
This event is unique not only due to its focus on cask-conditioned beers, but also because of its hyper-local geographic scope, with the spotlight being put on breweries from BC’s Lower Mainland outside of Vancouver. Attendees will enjoy 15 beer samples, a barbecue meal, and door prices – plus a special guest appearance by Delta BC’s Four Winds Brewing, winner of the Brewery of the Year honour at the 2015 Canadian Brewing Awards.
