SURREY, BC – Central City Brewers + Distillers has announced details of the second in a series of seasonal beers named after the characters inhabiting a fictional Central City – “a post-industrial, mythical metropolis port town” – inspired by gritty neo-noir comic books such as Sin City and Powers.
Mayor Kolsch is a 5% abv golden ale with the following description:
Mayor Kolsch is an easy drinking, pale-coloured, traditional German-style ale that is full of flavour with a mild bitterness. It is brewed with Heidelberg and German wheat malts, German Hallertau traditional hops and Kolsch yeast. But don’t underestimate Mayor Kolsch’s dual nature: a crisp, refreshing, full-flavoured craft beer that offers a smooth dry finish, with a mild bitterness. An ideal summertime craft beer.
Mayor Kolsch will be released later this month in 650 ml bottles at liquor stores in British Columbia and the Prairies, and on draught at select bars and pubs.
