HALIFAX, NS – Haligonian hop-heads are likely planning for a last minute lunch-hour beer run today, following this morning’s tweet announcing the 12 noon opening of Unfiltered Brewing.
Founded by partners Andrew Murphy and Greg Nash – the latter a well-known veteran of the east coast brewing scene, most recently at Rockbottom Brewpub – Unfiltered is planning to offer “great beer with a bad attitude,” as evidenced by its NSFW web addresses unfuckingfiltered.com and hoppyasballs.com.
Located at 6041 North St. in the city’s north end, Unfiltered is the third brewery to set up shop in the area in the last couple of years, following Good Robot Brewing and North Brewing.
Beers to be available for purchase in growlers at today’s opening include Hoppy Fingers APA, Exile on North Street IPA, and Twelve Years to Zion DIPA.
