HALIFAX, NS – Halifax North End neighbours North Brewing and The Brooklyn Warehouse have announced details of a new joint venture that they will be opening later this year across the harbour in Dartmouth.

Battery Park beerbar & eatery will bring together the locally-focused food and drink ethos of Brooklyn Warehouse with the craft brewing skills of North. In addition to a full service restaurant and bar, it will feature a second retail location for North offering 750 ml bottles and growlers of beers from the original Halifax location along with exclusive one-offs brewed on an on-site pilot system.

Brooklyn Warehouse’s chef Mark Gray will be “designing and directing an ever-changing menu of snacks, small plates to share, and other surprises,” and the overall goal of the establishment will be to “bring you the best Nova Scotia has to offer with a clutch of constantly rotating taps and a food program that reflects the return to local economies and farming practices in our region.”

Battery Park is expected to open in October at 62 Ochterloney St. in Dartmouth, a space that was previously home to Nectar Wine Bar. A crowdfunding campaign to raise $50,000 towards the venture is running now, with many perks available to those who contribute.
