OTTAWA, ON – Whiprsnapr Brewing has announced details of a new beer being released in partnership with former NHL player and current hockey broadcaster Garry Galley in support of a mental health charity.
Whiprsnapr Slingr is described as a “maple cream ale with subtle maple sweetness, and aged on maple wood chips to give it a woodsy earthy tone.”
Proceeds from the sales of the beer will go to support DIFD (“Do It For Daron”), a youth mental health support organization named after Daron Richardson, a 14-year-old with mental illness who committed suicide in 2010.
Slingr will be officially launched during an open house event at the brewery (14-106 Bexley Place, Nepean) this Thursday August 20th from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM. For more details, see the Facebook event listing.
